University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology is looking for a full-time Clerical Assistant for our East Brunswick, NJ Business Office.   

 

Monday - Friday 8:00am - 4:30pm

  • Maintaining the Scheduling Appointment Request [ARV] records in EMR which includes, but is not limited to:
    • Correctly identifying the new orders received for ‘New’ or ‘Existing’ patients
      • Creating ‘new’ patient chart only after searching multiple criteria
      • Create new ARV records in EMR
      • Upload the electronic or faxed order into the chart repository and/or ARV
    • Update ARV request type/work step to allow scheduling process to begin
    • ARV Requests and/or Electronic faxes are completed within 1 business day of receipt
  • Review and update Research orders received to ensure correct clinical trial/group billing data received
    • Will notify Referring Physician/Organization when required information is missing/incomplete
      • Includes but not limited to: Protocol number, URG location, Due date, Responsible party, etc.
    • Updates patient chart/ARV with actions taken
  • Notifying the RIS Department of any lag time on orders being received
  • Maintains electronic fax folders
  • Communicates with other URG departments as necessary
  • Other duties assigned

Qualifications

  • Knowledge of radiological modalities
  • Knowledge of MS applications (Word, Excel, Outlook)
  • Strong organizational and communication skills
  • Must be able to work independently in a fast paced work environment
  • Must be a team player who can contribute to providing a professional and positive work environment

Pay Range:

From $20/hr
