University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Overview:

The University Radiology Vascular and Interventional Center, our newly established office-based lab, is expected to open in Warren, NJ in April 2026! We have an exciting opportunity for a full-time Patient Care Coordinator who will handle multiple support duties such as patient scheduling, insurance verification and authorization, checking patients in, answering calls and front desk duties.

Major Responsibilities/Tasks:
• Schedule patient appointments and procedures in accordance with established protocols
• Assist in insurance verification and pre-authorizing patient procedures
• Obtain patient benefits for services required
• Communication with patients about details of procedures
• Track patient information, ensuring required forms are completed
• Answer telephone calls and return calls to patients
• Collect patient payments and notify patients of financial responsibility
• Contact referring physicians when issues arise
• Provide a high quality of customer service to all patients
• Maintain organization of the front office of the OBL
• Maintain patient confidentiality
• Other duties as needed

• At least two years medical office experience, radiology experience preferred
• Computer literacy
• Understanding of insurance requirements
• Excellent interpersonal and communication skills, including patience and empathy
