Overview

 

University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 200 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology has a new opportunity available for a Director of Hospital Operations who will manage relationships with our affiliated hospitals throughout the state of New Jersey. This  is a full-time role based out of our Business Office located in East Brunswick, NJ. 

 

Overview:

The Director of Hospital Operations is responsible for maintaining positive relations with all of our hospital partners to foster a successful working relationship between URG and each partner hospital. 

 

Responsibilities:

  • Responsible for ongoing client relationship management with each partner hospital
  • Running regularly scheduled meetings with hospital radiology administration and URG hospital chairs
  • Promote standardization in hospital radiology departments to ensure conformity with URG radiology protocols
  • Monitor key defined metrics at each partner hospital
  • Make every attempt to ensure that URG meets or exceeds each of the partner hospitals metrics, TAT (turn around times) and/or SLA’s (service level agreements)
  • Work closely with IT management in support of technology needs of partner hospitals, including communication of downtime and equipment upgrades
  • Help to oversee the Physician Assistant staff
  • Help to manage the 2nd and 3rd shift tele services provided to the partner hospitals
  • Work with Physician Scheduling to ensure adequate Radiologist coverage at each partner hospital according to contracts
  • Liaison between hospitals and URG Executive Management/Physician Management including hospital chairs
  • Works in support of URG to assist in any conflict resolution; works to find mutually acceptable solutions through clear communication, understanding and compromise
  • Performs additional duties as needed.

 

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s Degree preferred
  • Excellent Communication Skill, Customer service and leadership.
  • Must have a minimum of 5 years Radiology management experience

Pay Range:

From $170,000 annually

 

Salary determination will be made based on numerous factors including but not limited to years of experience, education and operational needs.
