University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 180 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Overview:  Under the direction of the Customer ServicManager the Customer Service Representative maintains a good working relationship with all patients, clients, and peers alike.  The Customer Service Representative acts as a liaison between the Group, the patient, and the insurance company.

Monday/Wednesday/Thursday/Friday 8:00am-4:30pm

Tuesday 8:30am-5pm

*Opportunity to work from home after training, dependent on readiness (minimum 120 days in office training)

• Develops good rapport and maintains communication with patients, clients, peers, and manager
• Assists patients regarding billing and insurance concerns
• Holds broad knowledge of insurance companies, timely filing limits, and understanding of Explanation of Benefits
• Maintains current patient demographics with RIS
• Performs other related duties as assigned
• Performs receptionist duties as needed

• Experience with high call volume, inbound and outbound calls
• Healthcare/medical office experience and strong communication skills are required
• Ability to communicate effectively and professionally
• Ability to resolve patient and insurance issues efficiently
• Knowledge of medical billing and claims payment processes
• Stong ability to self motivate and manage time, results oriented work ethic
• Positive, “can-do” personality
• Detail-oriented professional who works well independently, but also knows the value of a team and creates a synergy with that team to produce superior outcomes in all situations.
• Provides highest level of Customer Care
• Bilingual Spanish preferred
