University Radiology, the largest provider of subspecialty radiology and teleradiology services in NJ, is comprised of over 180 Board Certified radiologists with advanced U.S.-based training and expertise in all modalities and all subspecialty areas. In operation for more than 60 years, University Radiology staffs, manages and provides preliminary and final subspecialty interpretations and consultative support for hospitals, imaging centers and other medical facilities, and serves as the academic radiology faculty at Rutgers Robert Wood Johnson Medical School. Our physicians interpret over 2.1 million radiology procedures per year.

Responsibilities

University Radiology is looking for a full-time Front Desk Supervisor for our New Brunswick, NJ Imaging Office

 

Monday - Friday 7:30am - 4:00pm

  • Responsible for the financial performance of the revenue cycle
  • Supervises and ensures compliance with departmental policies and procedures relative to patient check-in and check-out including but not limited to obtaining and scanning signed consent forms, obtaining, reviewing, linking and scanning physician scripts, obtaining, reviewing and scanning identification and insurance cards along with the appropriate medical forms
  • Provides training to front desk staff as needed
  • Monitors front desk staff performance regularly and assists with the annual performance evaluations on all front desk staff
  • Ensures approved medical record policies and procedures are followed, including those dealing with patient confidentiality. (HIPAA)
  • Ensures point of service cash is balanced and deposited in accordance with company procedures
  • Works with scheduling and patient accounting to ensure compliance with pre-cert/authorization and/or referral form requirements are met so that facility authorization is obtained and expected reimbursement is not impacted

Qualifications

  • High School Diploma or equivalent required
  • Associate’s degree desired
  • Prior supervisory experience preferred
  • 3-5 years’ experience; or equivalent combination of education and experience in the medical field
  • Demonstrates leadership skills
  • Good judgment and strong operational focus
  • Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from physicians, staff, insurance carriers and patients
  • Strong communication skills and the ability to relate to and influence people at all levels of the organization
  • Ability to function effectively in a team setting
